• She started bowling in 1956 in the Thursday Night Hit and Miss League at Recreation Bowling on North Main Street.
• She participated in three tournaments annually-KWBA Championship Tournament, WISBA Championship Tournament, and the Star Tournament. The Star Tournament was held at Hindel Bowl, Indianapolis, and competitors were from Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky, Missouri, and Indiana, and this was her team's favorite tournament. The prize fund was great, she felt they had a chance of winning the entry fee back, and Evelyn's team usually fared well.
• Her team placed 14th one season, which was very acceptable to them for a tournament of this caliber.
• Evelyn worked as a scorekeeper every weekend of the 1959 WISBA Championship Tournament when hosted in Kokomo.
• When asked for her fondest memory of bowling career, her comment was the people she met and friendships she made through the years. She had to quit bowling because of job changes and overtime obligations.
