SUMMARY
Ross Pearson has been very active in the Kokomo Bowling Association and the community for many years. He participates frequently in the KBA, IBA, and ABC tournaments. He is a life member of the KBA.
Ross has been involved with the KBA for 11 years serving as KBA President in the 1984-85 season. He was Assistant Secretary for three years. He served on various committees of the KBA including two years as head of the Hall of Fame Ceremony committee.
Ross is a regular participant in the city tournament having participated about 35 years and won a city tournament title in the team handicap division. Ross has participated in the Indiana Bowling Association Tournament for approximately 30 years, and he has participated in 12 ABC Tournaments.
MAJOR BOWLING ACCOMPLISHMENTS
- Ross won the following Moose State championships in the 1960's:
- Team event four times
- Singles event twice
- Doubles event once
- He brought home the titles to the singles, doubles and all events in the Rochester, Indiana, City Tournament in 1977-78.
- Ross won the Dan Johnson Lanes tournament in Fort Wayne in 1966. He averaged 252 for four games to win the event and about $600.
- He also won a team event in Decatur in the early 1970's.
