For 25 years, Dairy Queen Grill and Chill (formerly Forest Park Dairy Queen) has sponsored countless men and women teams in the local centers. He also has sponsored many teams in local tournaments and state tournaments.
The first Youth City Tournament was also sponsored by Jim to help get it started for the future. To this day, the Youth City Tournament (Don Lowry Memorial) is getting bigger every year.
Every year the Association gets lane and hole sponsors for the City Tournaments and the Scholarship Golf Tournament. The first one to say yes is Jim Robison.
When it came time to come up with awards for the local association, again Jim came through. Maybe not one we want to talk about but an award. The award is “Splits are the Pits”, where if you pick up three splits in a game you get a free banana split from his Dairy Queen.
Jim not only is a great sponsor but a great person who will help anyone on the lanes. If someone is having a bad night and he can tell, he will try to calm them down and talk to them. He watches and tries to give them suggestions to help. He does this even when he is having a bad night.
