kelley jon

AT THE TIME OF INDUCTION ON MAY 8, 1999 -- Class of 1999...

SUMMARY

Jon has been one of Kokomo’s top bowlers for many years. His smooth, accurate and repetitive left-handed delivery has carried him to many city championships. His ten actual titles and two "grand slams" (winning team, doubles, singles and all-events) rank him near the top all time for Kokomo. Jon has adjusted well to the changing conditions and equipment over the years and evolved from an outside player to being able to play anywhere between the first and fourth arrows. He adjusts well to lane conditions and can vary his speed, hook and release to get the most out of his game. Jon elevates his game to another level when competing in tournaments. Although Jon is a fierce competitor, he doesn't show it and is a true gentleman of the game. He also likes to help other bowlers improve their games. Jon has also been very active in the Kokomo Bowling Association in service to the local bowlers.
