- Zelpha bowled for over 30 years
- She participated in State Tournaments from 1947 - 1968 each year and several National Tournaments.
- In 1971, Zelpha placed 2nd in Class D Handicap All Events in WIBC Championship Tournament.
- In 1952, placed 8th in All Events and 17th in Singles at the state level
- She was the first woman bowler to roll a 600 series at Play Bowl Lanes. On October 24, 1950, she rolled a 603 series.
- Zelpha was a member of the team sponsored by the Kokomo Tribune for 29 years.
- She bowled until December, 1973 when she had a 'bout with cancer causing her health to fail. She fought back but was never able to return to bowling.
