  • Elsie bowled for 25 years
  • Together, with her husband (Keith), owned and operated Recreation Lanes for 15 years
  • In 1941, Dietzens Corntoppers won 8th place Division A in State Championship Tournament, and were 20th Century League Champions. Team members were: Virginia Scott, Elsie Pettay, Martha Mikels, Wilma Moore, Thelma Thompson
  • In 1954-55, Team of Moose #179 set City Record for Team Scratch Series of 2756, currently held by Bowden's Flowers (2967). Team members included Elsie Pettay (566), May Cooprider (506), Betty Ewing Westerman (488), Rosie Currens (644), and Gladis Quinnette (552).
  • Also, in 1955-56, Elsie was 5th in doubles with Virginia Scott and placed third in all events
